evn.tt is a creator-first event platform that democratizes event hosting by enabling anyone to build their event hosting brand with professional profiles. Unlike traditional event platforms that focus on individual event listings, evn.tt empowers users to establish their identity as event hosts, allowing attendees to discover and attend events from hosts they trust. You don't need to be a big organization—anyone can create and promote events with professional-looking pages.

The Challenge

The event hosting landscape presented several critical pain points for individual creators and small hosts:

Lack of Professional Presence: Individual creators and small hosts struggled to create professional-looking event pages and build a recognizable brand without the resources and budgets of large organizations.
Discovery Challenges: Attendees faced difficulties discovering trustworthy events amidst scattered listings across multiple platforms, with no way to follow and trust specific hosts.
Manual Management Overhead: Event organizers had to manually handle promotion, ticket sales, analytics, gallery management, and shop operations across different tools, leading to inefficiency, errors, and lost revenue opportunities.
Fragmented Experience: No single platform provided a complete solution that combined host branding, event management, ticketing, analytics, media galleries, and e-commerce in one cohesive system.

Key Technical Challenges

Live Preview System

We implemented a sophisticated component system that provides immediate visual feedback as hosts customize their profiles. Changes are reflected in real-time using React's state management, and all modifications persist to the backend seamlessly.

Scalable Ticketing Infrastructure

Building a reliable ticketing system that prevents overselling during high-traffic ticket releases required careful architecture. We implemented database transaction locks, inventory management logic, and race condition handling using PostgreSQL's ACID properties and row-level locking.

Multi-Tenant Data Isolation

Ensuring strict data separation while maintaining query performance was critical. We designed a multi-tenant PostgreSQL schema with proper indexing and query patterns that prevent data leaks while keeping the system responsive.

Real-Time Analytics Processing
